Dr. Suresh Singh is serving as the Principal Engineer-I at Enerzinx India Pvt. Ltd. Prior to this, he served as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electonics Engineering at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. He has about 10 years of experience in renewable energy integration, power system modelling, microgrids and control of power electronic converters. His focus area is renewable energy integration, distributed generation, DC power systems, power management in DC microgrids, sliding mode control of DC/DC power converters, constant power loads and pulse power loads in dc distribution systems, power electronic converters, solar PV and wind energy systems, power system dynamics and control, real-time simulation of renewable energy systems, hardware-in-loop (HIL) and power-hardware-in-loop (PHIL). His recent engagements pertain to the design, modelling, and simulation of renewable systems. He has wide experience in modelling of renewable energy systems using analytical tools such as, Siemen’s PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink and Opal-RT real-time digital simulator. Recently, he has been responsible for utility scale feasibility studies, PSSE/PSCAD model development and benchmarking for various US independent system operators and other clients.

Dr. Suresh Singh also brings in rich experience of over 15 years in teaching & research. Specific research areas are Power Electronics, Control Systems, Microgrids, and Electrical Machines. During his academic career, he has taught serval under graduate level courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition, he has supervised number of under graduate students’ B.Tech. projects in the fields of power systems, control systems and solar and wind energy systems. His research focused on mitigation of negative impednace instabilities in solar PV dc microgrids is based on concepts power electronics and nonlinear control theory. He developed novel controllers to ensure the system stability and performace of renewable energy based DC microgrid in the presence of nonlinear loads.

During his tenure in JSS Academy of Technical Education, Dr. Suresh Singh served as HoD, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). As HoD EEE, Dr. Singh has experience in developing new laboratories, conducting faculty development programs and national conference. He has been responsible for coordinating the Smart India Hackathon (2018, 2019) at JSS Academy of Technical Education.
Dr. Suresh Singh has M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He obtained Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering for conducting research in DC Microgrid Control from Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, Jodhpur, India. He is a member of IEEE USA. He is also a member of IEEE technical societies such as Power and Energy, Smart Grid and Transportation Electrification.
